Crowns

Sunbeams caress holeless screens,
painting my skin a flawless hue.
Leaves are changing now
and time is turning quickly.

Days are growing shorter,
while nights reign in their triumph.

I’m in bliss,
caught in this sunrise.
I don’t want to burn.
I won’t have to feel Sir Sun’s scorn.

Autumn is upon us,
sinking into the grass
and promising crowns for all the leaves.
